• Question: How competitive is Edinburgh University for scientific courses from a worker’s perspective?

      Hi Alice,

      That’s a great question. From my perspective, as a technician involved in research mostly done by staff who already have PhDs or are studying to get their PhD, I don’t really see any of the undergraduate courses or admissions process.

      I do think Edinburgh is quite a popular university though, and therefore will probably receive a high number of applications. They publish their offer rates on their website, https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-recruitment/admissions-advice/admissions-statistics and on average offers are given to almost 50% of the applications.
